As part of Melbourne's level crossing removal project a concept was developed to identify the new stations in a distinct and unique way. The concept consists of a range of neon sculptures for Carnegie (CNE), Clyde (CLY), Hugesdale (HUG). Murrumbeena (MRB) and Noble Park (NPK) stations. Each station is fitted with a neon sculpture that is suspended from the concourse ceiling on each station. When approaching the sculpture from a particular direction the abbreviation (in this case NPK) becomes legible. Each station is showing their unique abbreviated code or their unique 'signature' this way.
